Andrea Masano

Fashion & Manufacturing

Andrea is a designer and manufacturer of her own label MASANO, a collection of woman’s dresses and separates. All her clothing is made in NYC’s garment district where Andrea works directly with subcontractors and oversees all her own production and development. In the last 20 years, she has shipped her collection to over 400 stores in the US, USVI, Canada and Mexico.

Her focus has always been to find a "raison d’etre” as to why one should even be in business. In her case, it has been to address the “triple crown” of retail: quality, fit, and pricing. Her line hangs in Cocktails Boutique, where she also offers subleases to small entrepreneurs so they may sell their products in their own retail space - "a store within a store."

Andrea has a BFA from Boston University and was a guest lecturer at NYU's Stern Business School as well as The Arthur M. Blank Center for Entrepreneurship at Babson College. She is a self-taught designer and comes from a home sewing background.
