KARA ROUSSEAU

Kara is a senior marketing executive with over 25 years of experience at leading media, entertainment, and retail companies, including Disney, Warner Media, and most recently Walmart Connect, where she served as Vice President, Marketing & Lightbox Creative. At Walmart Connect, she led a 220+ person team spanning Brand & Growth Marketing, Client Solutions, Training & Development, and Lightbox Creative (a 100+ person Creative organization.) Kara played a key role in the company's rebranding and its shift toward omnichannel advertising solutions. She was named one of AdMonsters & Ad Exchanger's Top Women in Media & Ad Tech 2024.

Kara's expertise spans brand strategy, creative leadership, retail media, and building high-performing, diverse teams — and she's a frequent industry speaker and podcast guest on the future of retail media and omnichannel marketing. On a personal note, she's the proud mom of a college-aged daughter, her pride and joy, whom she raised primarily on her own. She lives in Hoboken, NJ, with her Spanish boyfriend and her adopted 22-month-old mini-Cavapoo, Penny — and she's excited to bring both her professional experience and personal perspective to mentoring.
