REBECCA DENGROVE
RETAIL, FOOD AND CONSUMER MARKETING
A former WEALF entrepreneur, Rebecca is a senior executive in the food industry with leadership experience in all aspects of product development and business strategy. Currently, Rebecca is the Director of Commercial Strategy and Innovation at Original Sin Cider, one of the fastest-growing cider companies in the United States, where she drives growth through chain store sales and management, innovation, and strategic expansion across both on- and off-premise channels. She led the development of the company's complete non-alcoholic product line.
Rebecca brings extensive experience in both B2B and B2C commercialization and go-to-market strategy from her previous role as Technical Sales Manager at Planteneers, an ingredient company specializing in plant-based solutions. Her expertise spans product development, market strategy, and translating technical innovation into commercial success.
In addition to her industry work, Rebecca serves as an Adjunct Professor at Hunter College, where she teaches food science and shares her passion for the intersection of food systems, sustainability, and climate solutions with the next generation of food professionals. She is an active advocate for sustainability, currently serving as the Sustainability Committee Chair at her synagogue.
Rebecca is also a food entrepreneur, having co-founded Brewla Bars with her brother a specialty ice pop company. She holds a B.S. in Nutrition Science from UC Davis and an M.S. in Food Science from Rutgers University, where her research focused on food microbiology and food safety.
